We are a business group devoted to the development of traditional Chinese herbal medicine. We have engaged in the production, further processing, and sales of Dahurian Angelica Root (DAR), which is a unique Chinese herbal medicine that was well-known to release pain as well as a good cure of many diseases such as high blood pressure, cancer etc.
Over the years we have contributed a large amount of resources in the Research and Development by joining hands with Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Sichuan Provincial Chinese Medicine Research Institute. As a result, not only was DAR used in more medical applications, but develop its application in more industries such as cosmetic and chemistry.
We participated the making of DAR standard, Good Agriculture Product (GAP), a method used in European Union for all its agricultural products and was recently introduced into China. This allows our DAR growing to be a leader in the business.
As the global market of herbal medicine is growing, we are sure the future of DAR is quite promising. According to statistics, the international market share of herbal medicine is up to 27 billion US dollars and the markets in European Union and the US are growing at a rate of 30% and 20% each year. The GAP certification became one very important factor for agricultural products to export/import after China’s entry into the WTO. CHRI is committed to the standardization of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine and to expand the global market of it.
